UCLA on YouTube.com Comments Policy
What's this about?
UCLA has a role as a leading marketplace for the exchange of ideas. We respect First Amendment rights and embrace core U.S. free speech values. We want to encourage free speech in YouTube.com comment fields.
What does that mean to me?
It means that UCLA does not prescreen comments. Comments are the result of text submitted by individual YouTube.com members and UCLA students, faculty and staff, and do not in any way reflect the opinions or policies of the College or the University.
What guidelines apply to comments?
- YouTube.com's Community Guidelines and Terms of Use apply to every video and comment field on YouTube.com - including UCLA's channel.
- We need to abide by UC's Electronic Communications Policy and campus policy:
- The Regents shall have the right to remove comments at any time without prior notice for any reason deemed to be in The Regents' best interest.
- Students are also encouraged to embrace True Bruin values when posting on the site.
